Legendariska hårdrocksbandet Whitecross kommer till Light The Dark tillsammans med sin nye sångare David Roberts för att leverera klassiska Whitecross-hits blandat med låtarna från nya skivan “Fear No Evil”. Whitecross bildades i Chicago 1985 av sångaren Scott Wenzel och gitarristen Rex Carroll. Bandet har sedan dess gått igenom många faser där den största förändringen kom 1994 när Rex Carroll efter fem album lämnade bandet. Scott Wenzell drev då vidare bandet och släppte ytterligare tre album, varav det sista kom 1996. År 2000 återförenades Whitecross med Rex Carroll och 2005 släppte de albumet “Nineteen Eighty Seven”, som i stort var en nyinspelning av debutalbumet från 1987. Därefter fortsatte Whitecross ge spelningar, men något mer nytt album kom inte. 2020 ersattes sångaren Scott Wenzel av David Roberts. Den förändringen gav bandet en nytändning och resulterade 2024 i det nya albumet “Fear No Evil”. Skivan släppte Whitecross på Dark Star Records, en underlabel till Sony Music/Universal Music Group.
Spelningen på Light The Dark blir Whitecross första i Sverige sedan nya skivan släpptes!
The legendary hard rock band Whitecross comes to Light The Dark with their new singer David Roberts to deliver classic Whitecross hits mixed with the songs from the new album "Fear No Evil". Whitecross was formed in Chicago in 1985 by singer Scott Wenzel and guitarist Rex Carroll. The band has since gone through many phases where the biggest change came in 1994 when Rex Carroll left the band after five albums. Scott Wenzell then continued to run the band and released three more albums, the last of which came in 1996. In 2000, Whitecross reunited with Rex Carroll and in 2005 they released the album “Nineteen Eighty Seven”, which was largely a re-recording of the debut album from 1987. After that, Whitecross continued give gigs, but no more new album came. In 2020, singer Scott Wenzel was replaced by David Roberts. That change gave the band a new spark which resulted in the new album "Fear No Evil" in 2024. The record was released by Dark Star Records, a sub-label of Sony Music/Universal Music Group.
The gig at Light The Dark will be Whitecross' first in Sweden since the new album was released!
