CHARIZMA (SE)
Charizma grundades i Oskarshamn 1981 av bröderna Bo, Göran och Jan Nikolausson. Med debutalbumet "Rock the World" (1985) tog karriären fart. Framgångarna ledde bandet till klubbarna på Sunset Strip i Los Angeles och turnéer i Australien och Europa. I USA knöts Charizma till DHM Management – samma stall som Stryper och Holy Soldier – och en musikvideo spelades in med producenten Jay Torres (Madonna, Scorpions).
1989-1992 genomförde Charizma fyra turnéer i Estland inför sammanlagt 120.000 personer. Framgångarna ledde till att det kommunistiska skivbolaget Melodija gav ut albumet "Rocking the World Together" över hela Sovjetunionen!
I mitten av 1990-talet utvecklade Charizma ett akustiskt pop- och rocksound och flera singlar nådde höga listplaceringar både i Sverige och internationellt.
Från debuten 1985 fram till 2008 hann Charizma släppa fem album innan verksamheten avslutades 2008.
I november firade Charizma 40 årsjubileet av “Rock the World” med en spelning i hemstaden. Nu ges ännu en unik möjlighet att uppleva Charizma live på Light The Dark.
Charizma was founded in Oskarshamn in 1981 by brothers Bo, Göran and Jan Nikolausson. With the debut album "Rock the World" (1985), their career took off. The band's success led them to the clubs on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles and tours in Australia and Europe. In the USA, Charizma signed with DHM Management – the same management as Stryper and Holy Soldier – and a music video was recorded with producer Jay Torres (Madonna, Scorpions).
From 1989 to 1992, Charizma toured Estonia four times, playing to a total of 120,000 people. Their success led to the communist record label Melodija releasing the album "Rocking the World Together" throughout the Soviet Union!
In the mid-1990s, Charizma developed an acoustic pop and rock sound and several singles reached high chart positions both in Sweden and internationally.
From their debut in 1985 until 2008, Charizma managed to release five albums before ending their activities in 2008.
In November, Charizma celebrated the 40th anniversary of “Rock the World” with a gig. Now, you have another unique opportunity to experience Charizma live at Light The Dark.
