We live in a world that is only getting darker and darker, but the darkness has not overcome the light, nor will it. With Light The Dark, we want to do what we can to light up the darkness.
Light The Dark is a rock and metal festival with a Christian foundation. This means that, for two days, you will get to meet some of biggest bands in the christian rock and metal scene, bands associated with the genre, bands that are not necessarily believers but that have a positive and uplifting message, as well as new young hungry bands that are ready to spread light in the darkness.
Light The Dark held its first festival in the spring of 2025, but is also an independent continuation of the metal festival Bobfest, which was held from 1999 to 2005 and which had a temporary reunion in March 2024. If you visited Bobfest in any year, parts of the set-up will therefore feel familiar.
In addition to the festival at Arbis, Light The Dark also has a collaboration with one of Norrköping's churches and offers a program there during the day on Saturday with a church service and seminars.

BANDS & SPEAKERS
We're kick-starting Light The Dark with a bunch of really strong bookings. Twelve bands will play on the festival's main stage. In addition, it may happen that an intermediate act also appears on the festival's side stage. If you also attend the conference part in the church, you will get to listen to Pastor Bob Beeman plus some other speakers. There will also be musical elements in the church in the form of a rocking worship band.
