2027 har det gått 30 år sedan det svenska blackmetal-bandet Crimson Moonlight bildades. Detta är något som kommer firas under bandets spelning på Light The Dark.
Den 4 Juli 1997 höll Crimson Moonlight sitt allra första rep. Vid samma tillfälle spelade de även in den legendariska demokassetten ”The Glorification of the Master of Light”. Själva bandet bildades ett par veckor tidigare av Gustav Elowson, Petter Edin (Stenmarker), Alexander Orest och Simon "Pilgrim" Rosén. Från början sågs bandet som ett oseriöst sidoprojekt, men det vändes snart till att bli något seriöst.
Med tre fullängdsalbum och tre EP:s, samt ett hundratal spelningar både i Europa och i USA i bagaget har Crimson Moonlight etablerat sig i toppskiktet av skaran av blackmetalband med kristen profil. De har även satt avtryck i blackmetal-världen i stort och spelar i sommar bland annat på Malmö Massacre. Stilmässigt har bandet genom åren hunnit utforska allt från primitiv blackmetal och symfonisk blackmetal till blackened death. En bredd som kommer märkas under spelningen på LTD. Utöver att blicka bakåt blickar Crimson Moonlight även framåt då en ny skiva är under produktion. Missa inte denna unika spelning!

In 2027, it will be 30 years since the Swedish black metal band Crimson Moonlight was formed. This is something that will be celebrated during the band's gig at Light The Dark.
On July 4, 1997, Crimson Moonlight held their very first rehearsal. At the same time, they also recorded the legendary demo cassette "The Glorification of the Master of Light". The band itself was formed a couple of weeks before this rehearsal by Gustav Elowson, Petter Edin (Stenmarker), Alexander Orest and Simon "Pilgrim" Rosén. Initially, the band was seen as a frivolous side project, but it soon turned into something serious.
With three full-length albums and three EPs, as well as around a hundred gigs in both Europe and the USA, Crimson Moonlight has established itself in the top tier of black metal bands with a Christian profile. They have also left their mark on the black metal world at large and are playing this summer at Malmö Massacre, among other places. Stylistically, the band has explored everything from primitive black metal and symphonic black metal to blackened death over the years. A breadth that will be noticeable during the gig at LTD. In addition to looking back, Crimson Moonlight is also looking forward as a new album is in production. Don't miss this unique gig!
